Christ Church Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral

Surgi's is pleased to be assisting Christ Church Cathedral parishioners in the maintenance and repair of their HVAC systems.

Christ Church Cathedral, located today at 2919 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, LA, was the first non-Roman Catholic church founded in the entire Louisiana Purchase territory.  It was founded in 1803 as Christ's Church by the protestant inhabitants of New Orleans, and is today the official seat of the Bishop of Louisiana, in the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. -Wikipedia

We encourage you to visit the Christ Church Cathedral website and enjoy the rich history of this magnificent church.

Surgi's Develops Unique Approach To Commercial HVAC Maintenance

We actually do the maintenance.

Surgi's Heating and Air Conditioning has a large and growing commercial HVAC maintenance customer base.  When we evaluate a new customer's systems on our first visit, we usually find systems that have had little previous maintenance.

Most of these systems have been under contract but the maintenance has been minimal. Surgi's takes a different approach.  We perform proper maintenance at a fair price, give the customer priority service and charge a reasonable fee.  The customer gets lower utility bills with savings that dwarf the cost of maintenance, fewer repairs and more system up-time.

Air conditioning and heating maintenance is critical to the proper operation of systems.  It is the least expensive option.  Surgi's maintains air-cooled, water-cooled and chiller systems.  Call Surgi's today at 469-4232 to schedule a proposal for your HVAC maintenance.

Spiral Duct In Seating Area

Summer School

One of our Summer projects was at Drew Elementary on St. Claude in New Orleans.  Surgi's installed a large kitchen hood (8' x 12') and 60' of exhaust duct up the side of the building.  The project was a challenging success and was completed in time for the new school year.  If you have a major project like this or a smaller hood, call Surgi's today at 504-469-4232.

Courtyard by Marriott

Surgi's is pleased to have been selected as the HVAC company of choice to assist in the lobby remodel of the Marriott Courtyard - Julia St. in New Orleans and the Marriott Courtyard - Galleria in Metairie.  Last year we were priviledged to revise the air conditioning systems in the Marriott Courtyard - St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans.  Thank you Marriott.

Duct Fires Due To Lack Of Proper Maintenance

Happens every year...flash fire of lint in a duct when the heat is turned on for the first time.  You see, New Orleans is not a very cold place.  Sometimes heaters in commercial businesses are not turned on for several years.

Electric heat strips collect dust whenever the fan is running for heat or cool.  So, we wind up with a perfect storm; the strips are coated with dust and the business owner needs heat.  What results is comparable to a chimney fire.  It typically doesn't damage the building but it is disconcerting to the customers to see black smoke billowing from ductwork.  Plus, the fire department is not amused.

We've had two calls this week from customers who had this problem...a problem that could have been resolved with a preventive maintenance contract.  Don't take chances, Surgi's has levels of preventive maintenance for all budgets.  Call us before you have a problem at 469-4232 (985-624-9333 Northshore).
